Posts may not be regular for the next week or so..

I have exams for the next while. (anyone want to write my pharm or biochem exams?) So I might not be posting every day or so. I might have some guest blogs, we will have to see. I do have some blogs planned. There will be the flexi lead rant, a good scathing discussion on Gentle Giants, I did get a hold of a copy of Oprah's show, and a lot more.

So stay tuned, this will be a short hiatus.

OOOOO!!! Do you need more fuel for the GG fire? Besides the GGNews website that is... how about thier supplier(s)?? One of which was banned from a breed club? Or first hand experience from folks who have been done over wrong by thier supplier - IE - dogs STOLEN and SOLD to people in Mexico and/or shot?
Whoo boy, this might be a three part blog... one of them, one on one supplier and one on another supplier... then one on the lack of government body in Norco, CA actually doing anything but looking the other way as cash is heavily put in thier hands.

Oh, I'm sorry, did I type that out loud?? Ouch, the truth hurts don't it?
BTW, these folks *HAVE NEVER AND WILL NEVER* have a TRUE Silken Windhound. They are breeding fakes and selling them. TRUE Silkens are DNA'd at birth, microchipped, MDR1 tested, and registered with either thier limited registration OR after one year of age and passing thier full registration test, have thier full status. The Silken folk are a small but VERY tight knit group of folks.
These folks are a shame to the rescue world, and an embarrassment to the Borzoi and Saluki world. I remember when it was posted they got thier first 'Luki... and the Saluki world cried.

While we're waiting, I've got some material about a case here in Australia.

Accused couple's dog suffered every day of its life, court hears

The above article is about a shocking case of cruelty and neglect. It horrified me. If any one group of people deserve to be lynched for animal cruelty, it would be compulsive animal hoarders who collect hundreds of animals that they are unable to care for. It's fine to own a number of animals, if each and every one of them is healthy, trained and cared for appropriately. When they are collected like so much trash, abused, not even fed. Well, I feel like killing someone?
I don't CARE if it's a fucking mental illness! Be mentally ill in your own time! If someone started collecting people, not feeding them, making them dwell in their own filth and pulled the, 'oh, I can't help it. I'm a hoarder!' act, can you imagine what would happen? They'd be lucky to live a week, in any country that gave the death penalty, they'd be dead.

It makes my blood boil. I really hope the police track these people down and prosecute them to the full extent of the law. I also kind of hope that they are asked to endure the same agony they inflicted on the animals in their care.
